shiny! that's a familiar launch. lol
If this is where I think it is, I've been down there a few times trying without any luck. Good job. Ive only ever fished there the few times recently so still trying to figure out where they are. Haven't even seen any jumping or rolling though..C_Run said:Not super impressive but probably the first salmon I have tagged in recent memory, 10 #. I got it off the bank of the main Santiam on September 29 with that pink Steelee. I'd never seen that color but I snagged several at a tackle shop in Ketchikan when I was on a cruise. There was a little sign on them that said " humpy killers ". I thought, coho killer.
They don't sell that color here. Looked like it would be good for coho.troutdude said:Been a while since I've seen anyone use Steelies! But one can cover a lot of water with spoons, and drop into the pockets, and what not.
Could paint it I would surmise (might need to use lead free)C_Run said:They don't sell that color here. Looked like it would be good for coho.
Fantastic way to celebrate recovery!Lmt ur kill said:Hello everyone,
Been lurking for the last year healing from my 3rd rotator cuff surgery and just got released from the therapist to get back to the drift boat. The South Coast was kind to me.
Thx, yes a great way to get back in the game. I’m new to the area but not Oregon. Most of my fishing has been on the south coast, but looking into exploring around the Alsea and Siletz for steelhead this year. So if anyone is looking for a rower and feels like making a new friend, hit me up. I already have a trip set up for mid January. Weather permitting.troutdude said:Fantastic way to celebrate recovery!
And bless you for NOT calling it a rotator cup. ;-)
@Lmt ur kill there should be some steelhead in both of those streams now. My dad used to hit the Alsea, the day after Thanksgiving.Lmt ur kill said:Thx, yes a great way to get back in the game.
