2014 regs has leopard and soupfin sharks as part of the rockfish limit

So my question is how does one go about catching these sharks- I'm in the rogue valley so interest in areas Coos bay and south. Any methods One should try??? HElp I want to catch a shark

When i was a teen, we used to catch leopards in SF south bay with plain old grocery store squid.

Thanks NWDiscer, I wonder if they go into coos bay- I just never really hear of people catching sharks in OR, I searched online and theres a lot about california shark fishing the bay area but nothing 4 OR.

I hate catching sharks.

My son and I caught a blue shark out of Newport while salmon fishing south of stonewall bank. We brought it on board then chucked it back over the side. I've seen many a boat with shark down in Newport. Blues mainly.

I hate them because when I do catch them its 800 ft down while I'm halibut fishing and they suck to reel up.

I only have an 18' river sled so I'm not really into going way out into the ocean. I have taken the boat out of brookings 2x's 4 bottomfish
