Yep, was amazed when I ran across the article, and had not seen it brought up here. :)
 
The Willy/MC is a bit off the beaten path for me, but if the extend this to the coast, I'll be hooked.
 
I was bummed to see this clarification:

CLARIFICATIONS:

If an angler is fishing for sturgeon, they are restricted to a single rod. A second rod may not be deployed by that angler while fishing for sturgeon, even if that rod is deployed for purposes of catching a different species.

I was hoping that in Swan Island harbor I could toss one rod for sturgeon and another for bass or panfish, but that is not going to happen.
 
So pumped. Once we finish off this little CR bloodbath its game on. The thought of having an extra rod per angler for the last 15 years I've been fishing willamette springers... it's going to be awesome....
