Had a good day of fishing out on Silverton Reservoir. They were loving my homemade spinner for the first part then had no interest. Then all the bites were on the 1.5 Maglips. I think I had just caught it from a stocking but I will take the dumb luck.
Hit the pocket waters of the Little Deschutes river and it was tons of fun. Wading through the brush to pitch small casts into the littlest holes was a great way to spend the morning.
I live less than 20 minutes away and I know there are some giants in there. I fished it today for 3 hours and emptied my whole tackle box, not a single bite.
Visited Harriet Lake this morning and timed it perfectly. Trophy sized stocked this week and they were crushing rooster tails. Lots of fun.
Lake Simtustus is really just a part of the Deschutes River. It is the part that is impounded behind Pelton Dam and starts at Round Butte Dam. I's about seven mile long.
Here's some pictures from Fourmile lake this weekend. I caught a rainbow and two lake trout (the first time I've caught any). The rainbow bit powerbait, and the lakers bit worms on the bottom.
Got some action going on the Long Tom river last weekend. We caught some nice bass, and even lost a lot of big ones that I didn't put in the video. A fish pulled my rod into the water, but my friend managed to hook the line and we recovered it.
I just moved to McMinnville and I’m looking for some good fishing spots. Not really particular about species as it’s been almost a decade since I was last into fishing.
Cutthroat mostly caught on prince nymph's. Beautiful!
I went to the Molalla River today in the morning just above the city of Molalla, and there were lots of fish jumping. One I saw was clearly larger and golden in color. Could this be a brown?
So, checked out Scott Lake Monday. Did a little fishing with worms from the shore. Lots of little jumpers (3-4") catching air out from the grass near the shore.
