I am in love with the Mckenzie but have not had any luck this year, anyone know of any good spots to go for some bank fishing? Also I have read about a lot of people using lures on here. What is a good size to use?

I am new to steelhead fishing and have been trying to catch one since the winters were down on the slaw.I have fished the Mckenzie all my life for trout but want to step it up a notch and was just looking for any advice on spots for steelhead on the mac.

I first started fishing the McKenzie toward the end of last summer, caught some trout, but mostly just spent time getting familiar with the river. But, what I'm really interested in is catching some steelhead and salmon.

I want to take a couple kids out in the drift boat soon. What are the best floats to do on the McKenzie for trout this time of year?
