I'm new to Hermiston and have heard there is great fishing around, I just don't know where. I fish for pretty much anything that swims. I prefer to bass fish or trout fish. Spinning rods or fly fishing.

How is the fishing in any of the lakes near Baker City? i.e. Thief Valley Res., Phillips Lake, Unity Reservior. I will be fishing near there in the near future and would like to have a clue before I head out.

Gonna be taking the gear with me to Boardman this week will be fishin evenings after work, spotted numerous ponds ,then theres the big C , but the most interesting from a quick look might be the mcormack slough .
