I just bought a few new crab traps that I will have to attach rope to the harnesses. Having said that, can you guys recommend some good knots to use? In the past the crab traps I've bought were all setup and ready to go.

From what I understand by reading the regs, the general rules state that fishing is permissible from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset.

Fishing is good March-October(November). During winter months fishing at the Fern Ridge has been very unsuccessful for me, the water lever is really low. Early in the spring fish start biting depending on the temperature of water.

Why would the drag on my ambassador casting reel all of a sudden loose its drag. I tighten the drag all the way down and I can still easily pull line out. Any ideas?

The ODFW website,says you need a license to "assist" another. It has the same verbiage in the ORS laws and no definition of what it means to "assist."

My family and I are heading to Tumalo for spring break (March 21-24) and I am looking to spend my mornings and evenings hookin up.

There are a handful of small lakes a little east of HooDoo, and west of Suttle & Blue Lakes. They are inside of the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. Some of the names are Island, Meadow, Hand, Link, Casche, etc.

What to use? What to use? Worms? White corn? Power Bait? Cast and retrieve? I have a two-pole license...so I can try two ways to catch 'em. Any advice will help.

About 5 years ago my dad got me a trip on a drift boat down some river in Washington. We fish for about 6 hours and saw about 4 different guide boats catch fish. We caught nothing, the guide was nice and all and he said he would take us on another trip.
