Are there any good spots for bass fishing near Portland?
iv yet to find one that stands out. emigrant lakes been good. not great.what about northern california any great lakes for bassin.
My question is around Cottonwood Canyon -- is this a decent spot to search for smallies this spring into early summer? Do I need to be in another part of the river?
Any recommondations on lures for willamette river bass? I'm going to be walking the banks around st. Johns.
I haven't fished at Hagg Lake much but I want to start going there more often. If you know any good spots or any lures that work well please help me out.
The water was high and dirty, not murky, just dirty with debris. It was also probably the roughest I've seen it, the wind was ripping up the main and white capping any turbulent flow, wind would die for a few minutes and it would be really nice...
Totally new to bass fishing with a fly or otherwise. We took our canoe out paddling up from Cooks Park about 3 miles - looked like good water with lots of downed trees and pilings in the water for structure.
I'm new to the Corvallis area, recently moved here from the Rogue Valley and I'm looking for some spots to catch some bass. There doesn't seem to be the amount of lakes up here as I'm used to.
My next best choice would be smallmouth bass. It is number two on my bucket list of fish to catch, bonefish being number one.

There are several websites that says that there is bass in Oswego lake. Anyone fished in there before? The lake is filled with algae, and is surrounded by private property.

I’m looking for some lakes/ponds either close to me that have bass or around the Portland area. I see that the willamette puts out some smallmouth but I don’t have a boat or anything so I would need a bank access spot.

I know devils lake in Lincoln city is typically a trout fishery however i had someone tell me they hooked a fairly nice sized smallie there. Ive fished there several times but its been a long time since my last visit.
It has been a tough bass season for me so far this year. Caught a handful over several short trips in places I like to bank fish, but I had released hundreds of bass by this same time last year.
