I need some info on Willy sturgeon

Here is a little tip when rigging worms. Grab the worm by the tail and give a good swing so it's little, itty bitty head whacks on something solid, like the side of your boat. This will stun the worm and make it so much easier to tie down on the hook. Plus it gives you the satisfaction of...

I need some info on Willy sturgeon

Congrats on that nice keeper. Looks real clean. Many do use worms and sandshrimp combos. Worms are a must during or after a good rain. Once again Congrats on your first keeper! :)

I need some info on Willy sturgeon

I'll share this with ya all,,,, Look for the WARMEST water this time of year on the Willey. Keep in mind that when the tide is blowing in the colder water will be pushed into the bottom end on the channel, thus shutting down or pushing the fish up channel. Also, the sturgeon's metabolism have...

    Buoy 10

Always good to have a dozen herring on board, but the coho bite has been furious on hardware. I have been doing good on #4 Vibrax Spinners in a yellow/chartreuse, silver blade. Running behind a Delta Diver between 12 to 15 pulls. I running the herring at 20 to 25 pulls for the Chinook. No...

    Get out of the nursery

I would stay away from the "wall" To much lead flying. Not knowing that area can be dangerous, hard current, small boats and lack of experience just don't fair well in that water. Question is what are you looking for? Keepers or oversized. The oversized hold in the hard, deep current in town and...

    Reporting an oversize!

My apologies to both. I guess I've been around other sites too much where the the bashing and disrespect are a common issue. Sorry, for the hair trigger. Once again my apologies. Pete

    Reporting an oversize!

A little tip for rigging worms for sturgeon. Grab the worm by the tail and whack it's head on something solid. This will stun the worm and will allow for and easier tie down on the hook. Keepers I run a 4/0 and oversize I run either an 8/0 or 10/0. Have fun!

    Want Some Gas...

2 strokes need a high compression ratio. From the sounds of it, I think the next step would be to do a compression test. Your comment "we can get the motor running but not smoothly" would indicate to me that there would be a compression issue, especially with the age of the motor.

    Want Some Gas...

Chances they are "galled". Steel screws in aluminum over a period of time will "fuse" together. Question is, do they really have to come out? If the location allows you can take a heat gun, NOT a torch, and gently warm up the surrounding area that the bolts are in. That is if you can get to...

    Crazy question

When your your on the way home just back into a ramp on the upper Columbia and run up your motors while on the trailer. This also rinses out your trailer and brakes as well.
