i believe those lakes haven't been stocked for nearly or over a month now. they should be pretty dried of stockers. i think a good number of those lakes are getting stocked towards the end of august and beginning of september. hottest fishing right now would be for steelhead. haha. as for trout...

i believe it is 5 fish, with a 20+" being counted as one of those fish; with 2 days worth of limit in possession. streams often have special regulations pertaining to native (non hatchery based) fish. you'll have to check specific zone restrictions in the regulations.

best $4 i spent all year was on a 3-pack of 1/4 oz. kastmasters. gold, silver, and silver/blue. smashed the heck outta those 15+ inchers at salish ponds.

they can digest the hook, but it's a hook, it won't always go down as desired. i've caught trout before with hooks inside of them that have punctured through their body to the outside.

frog lake is really shallow. so powerbait fishing off the bottom is the best bet from the shore. people do fairly well with lures on boats. fly fishermen seem to catch their fair share as well.

i dont think people can own the river. they own it up to the bank. :lol:

that fish was one of the recycled brooders they stocked in the lake. just an old used up rainbow trout. lol. still good for the fight though. most of those brooders in there are 24" or more.

if you really want to catch stockers. just use powereggs. they stay on the hook better so it's almost a gurantee that you'll get the fish, cause they'll just keep coming back for it, even if you missed them on the set.

i hit up ollalie lake on friday. there were some crews out there to take down trees that may potentially fall, but the road there itself is clear. seems to have not been stocked at all though. and yes, the store is out of business and the cabins there are closed down for the year. not sure if it...

hit up the stretch of river at elkton for some bank fishing, did pretty good on smallies. the mid to high water levels make it frustrating, cause some pools just arent deep enough for fish to collect along the bank. but it seems the males are out in force building/guarding nests. i got 5 fish, 2...

if that 28 had a gold kastmaster in its mouth, i want my kastmaster back. lol.

i got an 18" and lost a what looked to be at least 22"+ fish (looked much bigger in the water than the 18" i pulled out)
