Fish should start showing in tidewater anytime. You can check the reports from Nestucca River Outfitters. Sounds like a few have been caught.

Just remember the color black. Anything black and fuzzy. Buggers, Roostertails, ect....

Black rooster tails. cast, let em sink to the bottom and reel up slow. stay near the shoreline and fish the shelf or drop off. Good luck. Its my favorite lake.

You can check out Hyde boats, they have a mount for your motor which is designed to let you use an outboard and your rear anchor. You could also just move the bracket over to clear the motor, if that will not work you can buy the side anchor bracket. Check the websites of some major builders...

Ther eis something special about the place. It is quiet, fishing is good and a person can go there to relax. Too bad it is not being taken care of.

There are enough salmon and steelhead trips in my future. another month won't kill me. Might make me lose a little sleep, but it won't kill me.

Anyone know if Ollalie Lake it clear enough and if the roads are open?? I would like to head up there and trout fish a little if possible.

I have never played in the tidewater. I have recently sold my sled and purchased a driftboat and have a kicker. I have been rigging up and reading for a few days. I plan on heading out next weekend. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

I have fished East Lake a lot. I jig for kokes there and have not done much fly fishing. Jigging for them is a ball if you have never tried it. You need a line counter and a depth/fishfinder and your set. The folks at the East Lake store know the ins and outs of what is working and where...
